Per Allmer was appointed President, Western Europe, Middle East, Africa & S.E Asia in December 2017 overseeing the region’s rolling stock and services business and extending his previous remit to include India, Australia and South East Asia.
Per joined Bombardier in 2001, firstly as project manager in our signalling division before moving on to a number of different positions, mainly in project management and engineering, based in Sweden, Denmark and Australia. From 2004 to 2010, Per led the Rail Control Solutions - Nordic and UK business unit.
In 2010, Per moved to Zurich and became President, Bombardier Transportation Propulsion and Controls. As part of his responsibilities, he was accountable for the supply of propulsion and control equipment for Bombardier’s various types of trains and locomotives worldwide.
Prior to joining the Bombardier Transportation Group, Per started his carrier in Asea Hafo, later on he moved to ABB, an international corporation specializing in automation and power technology with operations in 100 countries around the globe which together with Adtranz was acquired by Bombardier Transportation in 2001.
Per holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and an Executive MBA.
